Membership Types

There are there main types of AASFAA members; Institutional, Associate, and Former/Retired Aid Professionals

Institutional Members

Institutional Members are schools. These include all types of schools, whether public or private, 4-year or 2-year, technical or proprietary.

Associate Members

Associate Members are other entities. These include educational associations, government agencies, organizations involved in providing educational services, banking, savings & loan associations, etc.

Former/Retired Aid Professionals

Former/Retired Aid Professionals shall be those individuals having an interest in promoting the administration of student financial aid and the financial aid profession. They are members of the association but cannot vote or hold office.

How to Become an AASFAA member?

Ask your director to contact us to find out if your organization is already an AASFAA member. If so, Register to view the content in the AASFAA Members section. You will receive email notification when your online registration has been approved and you have full access to the Membership section.

If not, it is as simple as 1-2-3.

Step One

Complete the online Membership Form for 2024.

Step Two

After submitting your Membership form, you will receive an invoice from the AASFAA Treasurer within 3 - 5 business days.

Step Three

Register to be a user of the AASFAA website.  Select "Register" in the upper right-hand corner of this page.You will be registered on the AASFAA News Listserv.  You're done! Welcome to AASFAA.
